Here are all the kids helping pick up twigs, weeds and leaves in my folks' backyard-it was HOT so we kept drinking water and stopped about 11am

Here's Jeff cutting down the ditch for my folks-it was a HUGE project and Jeff said he couldn't feel his hands afterwards from all the vibrating. lol

Here's Jeremy working on switching out my old radio/cassette tape player for the CD/radio he gave me for Mother's day. Isn't he just the best/sweetest son? ;OPWe didn't like the way the family pic turned out today-but it's the last day we had most of the kids so we had to get what we could.
We're sad we won't see Kmt for over a week, but happy we'll get them back in time to have Monica goto girls' camp and then have Ty's 11th Birthday party on the 31st.
I'm over the heat now-it can stop. I want it to be September!!!!
My folks yard looks great now-all it took was the Hoagie clan coming over for half the day!

Well, as with everything today, all with this blog post hasn't gone as planned. It's kinda backwards..lol...so, to see what all these are about you'll have to scroll down to the end of the post then go through the pictures...well, at least we're happy right? lol
Hope all is well with everyone!!!
hugs

Here's Jeff getting ready to force water down the drain to unclog it
Here's the ceiling in the play room-see the brown ring and the thumb indent? Yah, we're thinking this leak has been going on for awhile before we got here...can you say "ceiling replacement"? ARG!!
We had to gate off the area where the water went into the bowl. Kids don't like not getting to play or watch TV in their play room.....it's a bummer
Here's Elliot waiting-while soaking wet still-for his sword balloon...he was SO happy!!! lol
The boys loved standing on the water spouts and then taking their feet off....silly boys

Here's Amie getting ready to go into the "freezing" water

Amanda and Amie were kinda whimpy about the water at first

Today was our 4th anniversary-yah!
But, as life goes on regardless of wonderful events like this......
Our washing machine drainage got clogged and spewed water all over the upstairs laundry room all the way down to the light on the ceiling of our playroom (yah, that freaked the kids out badly), our date was canceled and we had to drop off 8 kids with my folks down the street so that we could go to our landlord's place to pick up the equipment to fix the clogged drain.
Luckily, before all the stuff happened with the clog we had a happy water time-we took most of the kids with us and went to the Beaverton library/water park-really, we were being selfish trying to get cooled off from the 90+degree day we had. They had lots of fun, we got ice cream to share and the boys had balloon swords made for them.
Our day was filled with havoc-some good, some not so good
Something really great that happened today was that Jeff got his first call for a contract from the training camps he's done for his referee career!! It's for division 2, which is good money for each game, and it will also mean a lot of traveling to Eureka, CA. For now it meant paying hundreds of dollars for Jeff to goto another camp-this one in LasVegas, NV.
For us the saying "you have to spend money to make money" really does apply.
Jeff also got hired on by an insurance/financial advisory company. They're gonna pay for all his training/classes and licensing to sell insurance, retirement plans and such. It's perfect for him because it'll keep him busy but he can still do the officiating since he makes his own schedule. The people who hired him are really nice, and they're LDS so that's a bonus to us.
Wish us luck with our "moneypit" house-at least right now it's just costing us time since the landlord has been paying for the supplies. But, needless to say we're nervous since this newest thing isn't the first. Now we have to go without a playroom and our master bath until things get fixed. And with Jeff out of town all next week for training camps in WA, and another week at the end of the month for the big NV camp-well, looks like I'll be learning how to rip out old linoleum, subflooring and how to take out a 5" square on the ceiling.

Well, at least I did something for me-I joined Curves gym to get in better shape and prevent from becoming full blown diabetic.
It's fun and gives me over an hour daily to get away from everything and everyone to treat myself to some "me" time-which I don't get much of with 9 kids and a very very busy hubby.
Can't wait till September-except it'll mean I get to go get a part time job while they're all in school.
I just know I'm gonna cry the first day I have to take ALL of my kids to school and have no one at home anymore!!
Arg, it's late and I have to go call to see if Jeremy is close to here yet-we get him for the 4th of July weekend!! wooohooo!!!
We miss him terribly, but are SO very very proud of him and how he's doing as an adult thus far.
In another year, we'll have another one too! heheehehe
Have a great weekend everyone!
