This is the front of the house, isn't our blue door cool!!! We're gonna paint the front porch white to match the new gutters. The two windows above are Monica's room(left) and the boys' room (right) The three windows go to the living room.

Here's Jeff's basketball hoop-finally! lol...there's also a hole right in the middle of the driveway for a tether ball! It's awesome!
Our back deck overlooking the garden and the boys' play area. The picnic table came with the house-and the boys have already plastered it with playdoh :OP

Here's another shot of the house-see how my garden area wraps around the front yard, it's soooo nice!

Here's the little tree "fort" that's on the right of the back yard in the corner. There's like 4 different kinds of trees, all with flowers like a dogwood and something with gorgeous purple flowers, and blackberry bush and I think a rhody that's pink too. It's very cool for the boys cause they can hide out and play in there. They've been talking about taking little chairs and a table in there to make it an official fort.
Here's my "fort" lol. It's a couple of trees near my rose garden. I'm gonna hang a hammock up between the two fir trees you see to the left and right of the main tree in the middle. We already took out the tree in the back, the little whimpy one. It had a hornets nest under the rotted out trunk. Our neighbor back there already loves us for working on the yard.
Quien and Elliot LOVE the upstairs hall to the rooms. The laundry closet is down at the end on the right, then Katie's room and the kids' bathroom. On the left is a closet, then Monica's room (pictures coming soon, we're not done painting) and then the boys' room is last, right next to our room on the end.

This is our room-before we started painting. It's a really good sized room, the bathroom has a double sink, a big shower and a skylight!!! We get to redo the floors with tile! It's gonna be such a sanctuary for us.
Jeff painted the closet our room color first to make sure we liked it-which we do! Do you see how shiny and nice the door jam is? Jeff is refinishing ALL the wood in the entire house-doorjambs, baseboards and windowsills. It's looking so very very nice!

Here's the first thing I planted in my raised garden area-sunflowers! Yeah, all the kids helped me get the dirt back there ready and plant these. My friend Bridgette and her three kidos came over to visit and help-she was such a blessing to have that day! She got her feet muddy helping get this area ready-and her hands before that to clean my oven so we could make the pizza she'd brought for lunch. Did I mention what a blessing she is? :O)
Here are my gorgeous flowers! There are the purple ones, and a lite blue one bloomed today with a dark red one ready for tomorrow. I also planted some yellow ones next to them-it's gonna be gorgeous!
Our front door entry, you can see Monica in the play room. There's a staircase behind the door on the left to go upstairs. The living room is to the right of the door here.

Here's the sunken living room with the fireplace. Quien is in the dining room-before we started painting it. And then the latter is in the dining room after we'd painted. The red door jam makes it so that we can do our theme for both the dining room (American flag) and my kitchen (apples)
The living room will be our "celestial" room-all white with our pictures of Jesus and the Prophet, my bookcases with all the family's books. And yes, eventually, Jeff's big huge flat screen tv on the wall opposite the fireplace. LOL...our deal is he has to get the "big" referee contract first.

The boys' room is BLUE-really really blue. But, it's gonna be awesome when we're done. The theme is space, so the walls will have stars and spaceships and stuff. Final pix will come soon.

Katie and her cousin Corrin painted her room-yeah, and ended up looking like Smurf's when they were done. LOL...well, no, actually I wasn't laughing. But, she and I fixed it up. She has a red and yellow wall as you see, and a blue wall on the other side as well as a green wall for the window. They put their painted handprints in the closet.

Our garage. Belle, the 65 Chevy that is the boys' heirloom from their father Erik, was the first thing we put in the house to claim it as ours. The garage is much bigger then this picture gives it credit for. There's shelving all around it, a door to the back yard, room for our big freezer and extra fridge-which you have to have when you have 9 kids-as well as a work bench for Jeff.

You can see our kitchen and the play room that is right off it, and the sliding door to the back deck. It's so nice to have a play area for the kids again!
And last, but not least, is my favorite bathroom-well, half bath. This little bathroom is off the kids' play room-so it's perfect! Having 3 toilets in the house will help sooo much! Isn't it a cute room? The toilet and floor are wood. Jeff said he's fine with that, as long as he doesn't get splinters-what a smart alec.
We LOVE our new place and are having so very much fun painting and repairing it and making it our own. We just know in our hearts we're gonna buy this place sometime in the next few years-until then we're gonna get practice working on a home and paying cheap rent!
