We are having SO much fun being a Soccer family right now!!!
Ok, so first we had to go get a goal and the soccer balls and the shin guards-and of course the goal had to be put together, and the boys wanted to help Daddy (aka, Coach Jeff).
Course, Elliot got board really fast, but Quien enjoyed helping-mainly cause it meant standing on the edge to keep it level for Dad.

K, so trying out the new goal: 1st up is Quien and Daddy-man, he enjoyed that WAY too much! LOL

And then it was Elliot VS Quien-yeah, Elly was paying attention to how big brother did it.

Next up were the big boys-don't worry, PJ had a chance to score against Ty too.

Here's our Micro Mini Soccer team-The Green Zoo. We are named that because all the kids wanted to be a different animal-so Coach Jeff said we're just a zoo. Plus, our jerseys are bright neon green as you can see. lol

Here we are after all the mini clinic lessons, watching the UK players show off and taking a water break. All the kids liked that I poured water down the back of my shirt-so they had me to it to them too! It was 105 today!!!
Quien and his team mates coming back from making a goal together. They do a good job passing the ball to eachother most of the time-but like I said two of the boys are really good at making goals.

Quien is a turtle and Elliot is a Cobra-we have 3 snakes in our zoo. lol Do you see Elliot with his hands out?The teachers told them to act like they were surfing-he liked that cause he loves the movie "Surfs Up"

Can you say HOT!!
K, so here are the guys from the UK, they look to be about college age and the kids got a kick watching them bounce the balls off their heads to make goals. Quien said it was hard to understand the new teachers cause of their accent-I thought that was ironic coming from him.
Jeff knew the coach from a previous ward. He always seems to run into someone he knows-the bank, the store-Soccer practice. LOL

Yeah, they looked like this most of the day-all huddled up trying to get the ball. LOL

But, a few more pointers from Coach Jeff and the team did a good job getting goals-we have two or three players that have played before and they mean business!! LOL Luckily we have to split the team into two groups from now on when we do games-so I think we'll end up with an A and a B team, and then switch them around so they can teach eachother.

Even though it was super hot we had a lot of fun-we have great kids and the parents are super involved. One of the Moms took the pictures above so that I could help coach since I'm the assistant coach/team parent. I do all the emails and calls and organizing of things-Jeff gets the easy/fun job of coaching the kids about the game/rules. LOL
Ty had his Jamboree later in the day when it was up to 110 degrees, so they just had the mini clinics and no scrimmages. But he and his sisters, Monica and Katie, were happy cause they got to go with their father to go swimming and then overnight visit with him.
Keep checking out the blog for new pix of the season and we'll post more of Jeremy if we get them too!
hugs to all
Jeff and Fawn
