Here are our two Swedish Blue ducks as ducklings this fall...awww...they were so cute!
pic two is of them as fledgelings taking their first swim
Pic three is of them hand feeding last week. They ended up with such beautiful coloring.
ok, so we had to get rid of the two Swedish ducks we had-they were WAYYY too noiseyKept waking up the neighbors at like 6am-In the summer
yeah, so for the sake of making the neighbors not call the cops on us I put them on craigslist for free and got like 10 people calling me to pick them up for their farms
So, off Perrin and Flicka went.
And now, it's soooo much quieter in my backyard. Funny thing about the two White Fawn ducks we kept-they're female. Our neighbor right next door has two male White Fawn ducks
So I talked to our neighbor-who is a wonderful gardener and I just love her front yard-gorgeous!
Anyways....talked to her and we decided to trade-one of my females for one of her males
Cause, you know, ducks mate for life.
So next week we're gonna put the four of them on a "double date" and let them chose their mates.
So, as of next week either Skittles or Chica will be moving next door with her "husband" as Quien says.
He's very excited about the "wedding" next week for the ducks. LOL
He was sad to see his Swedish blue duck go byebye-but was happy they have a new home with lots and lots of room to"fly and be free" as he says. So...next spring I should have lots of eggs....and ducklings!!
