Then my Mom called me.
My Dad's pnumonia had gotten worse overnight so he ended up in the hospital.
And so we all had to try and enjoy turkey without him.
My brother Dennis and daughter Katelyn made the food, after much prep by Mom, and we brought green bean casserole along with a store run for things like Gouda cheese for the mash taters and spray whip for the pies.
My Dad's cousins showed up and so it was all of our family (Jeff, Jeremy, Katie, Monica, Ty, Q&E, and I) along with Mom, the two cousins and DC.
Small but yummy. Jeff got bored watching football games, so he tried to do some stretches for his kink in his shoulder. (which is why there's a pic of Elliot stepping on Daddy's back lol).
Mom took a plate to Dad at the hospital with DC, the cousins left with plates of leftovers I made, and I cleaned up the kitchen.
Dad's still in the hospital today, and we're all still recovering from the glutony of yesterday's meals.
I made a yummy dinner of crock pot ham cooked in peach puree, cheddar mash taters, green beans&corn, rolls, and for dessert banana cream pie with cranberry juice or eggnog to drink.
Needless to say the four missionaries went home with full happy tummies. They were kind enough to give Jeff a blessing before they left, for his shoulder to heal and for him to find a better job.
Now the boys are playing xbox, Mamma is blogging/FB, and the teenagers are hiding.
I think I'll go watch a movie with my hunny and eat some pecan pie.
