k, so what's new with us
not much really
we're not moving-yet
we'll have to stay here till May when our lease is up-then we'll see what happens
your guess is as good as mine at this point
it's up to God
Jeff and I are trying to entrench ourselves and the 5 kids in this new ward
Mo really enjoys YW now, she even goes to mutual when her father allows it
I've been really enjoying helping the older kids with their homework-and Q too, it's just so fun to see how far he's improved since he started kinder
he can read now! it's just so awesome!
Elliot is doing great-he's our computer geek now-loves playing games on the pc my Dad gave us just for the kids
Q and Elly had stomach flu this weekend-yuck!
finally got all the bedding clean today
except the two blankets that don't fit into my washer-those have to go to the laundry mat
it was a gorgeous sunny and warm day yesterday-I even had my front door open
the house felt warm for the first time since we moved here!
Katie had her High School orientation last night
arg, I'm not old enough to have a freshman in HS yet!!!!
she's not seeming too enthused either
I'm hoping she'll be better about it this summer-we'll see
the three boys start baseball soon-Tyler has his tryout for team placement this Saturday and then Quien has his the following weekend. Elliot is doing T-ball for the first time so it should be interesting trying to get to all three games in the weekend
especially when Jeff will be reffing baseball himself
Jeff wanted to start reffing lacrosse, but I guess they start training for that way at the first of the year so he'll have to try for next spring
He has 4 camps he's going to this summer-we won't see him from the end of May to the beginning of July much
but, it's going to be worth it in the end if/when he gets signed on for more college games and maybe even lower division NBA stuff
that's the goal anyways
in this economy we're just trying to hang on to eachother and the kids at this point
between Jeff's divorce and thusly the 2 ex's we have to deal with we're barely getting by financially
we only have to deal with that portion of our trials of life for 5 more years for Jeff's and 7 more years for mine
wooohooo!
we had a great weekend-besides the barfing boys-because we got to take the kids to Jeff's last college game in Portland, then out to dinner at Applebee's as a family for Vday, then church Sunday and Monday the kids had no school so we all hung out together, finishing off the 3 day weekend with FHE
It was nice to hear Jeff sing, and the kids actually seemed to listen to the lesson
they loved the game we played-mystery hug
one family member closes their eyes, then another hugs them and the hugee has to guess who it was
Jeff played us all-he guessed wrong, which meant another person had to hug him
he did this until he got hugged by us all
even Katie thought that was funny
we're all sad-my cousin and her family, including little Landon and Leena, are moving to Nebraska this week
we're gonna miss them soooooo much!
watching them and having them around was the baby fix for Jeff and I
well, I'm gonna go lay down now
I think the nasty tummy flu bug finally caught me
arg
hope you're all well to whomever is reading this
hugs
Fawn
(I know I know, I cheated with the picture-it's from almost 2 years ago-but we don't have anything recent.Check back tomorrow, I'll try to have one of the kids take a pic tonight)
