Ok, so to explain this...
the picture is what our garage looked like during spring break-and really, up till about 3 weeks ago.
Just stuffed with crap right up to the door-under the truck, inside, on top of, all around-everywhere.
But, then we got Belle (the blue '65 Chevy that belonged to the boys' father) out to get ready for their uncle Leif to come get it in preperation for a complete overhaul. We can't wait to see how she turns out.
Well, then my ex decided-finally-to move up to Portland.
So, we have been cleaning and boxing up stuff and giving things to the Goodwill (we aren't allowed to have a garage sale at our rental house) and selling things on Craigslist (big screen tv, chair, dresser, desk-more if I have my say LOL).
And we put boxes and boxes of Erik's (that's the boys' father) things up in the atic above the garage. Boy was he a pack rat!! Books, Star Wars figures (I plan on putting the boys through college with those someday LOL) and more books and then stuff from Sweden (he spent his Sophmore year of High school there with relatives, then his 2 year mission there-his father is a native that moved over at 9 when his mother married an American missionary)
Anywho.
So, now we have everything nice and neat and organized and decorated and there's a HUGE blank space in the middle of the garage for all of my exhusband's things (and Kmt's things from his house too).
We're all tired and worn out, and the inside of the house is mess from bringing things in that we wanted to keep and use-but it's done in the garage.
Now we just have to prepare for the influx of stuff from my exhusband tomorrow.
And after that there's Amanda and Amie coming next week.
And then after that there's Katie, Mo and Ty moving in with me Father's day weekend.
At least I get a breather before PJ gets here on July 22 after we go spend some time in Medford.
Jeff and I had so much fun looking at his old mission pictures and from when he was younger. He had bright curly red hair when he was little-so stinking cute!!!
We're gonna put his car salesman awards up in the closet for him to look at, and we found an old football award he got at 10-he and Quien were happy to see that he was #12, just like Q is now for baseball.
Oh, speaking of that-Jeff had a funny happen at the baseball game for Quien today. He got hit in the hip by a line drive! LOL Didn't hurt he said-except his pride. LOLOLOL. He said when the kid got to 2nd base where his father was coaching he said "hey Dad, did you see me nail the coach with the ball? It was awsome!" hheehehehe-so funny! Wish I'd been there.
Well, off to continue rearranging the house to get ready for the influx of kids-I have to get Amanda and Katie's room ready, Amie and Monica's room done-it's the room Jeremy's in right now. He's getting a big space in the living room for the last 4 weeks he lives with us.
He doesn't seem too upset-he still has his bed and dresser and the TV and DVR at his whim. LOL.
Just not much privacy-but,then none of us will have much of that for the summer really with 11 people in the house.
We're gonna have a great summer though!!!
